We use Plaid Technologies, Inc. to connect your bank accounts to Studio Sapling. When you link your accounts, Plaid collects and transmits your financial data on our behalf. We do not store your bank login credentials. Plaid's use of your data is governed by their Privacy Policy at plaid.com/legal. We access transaction history, account balances, account and routing numbers, and account holder information through Plaid's API to provide automated bookkeeping, transaction categorization, invoicing, tax estimation, cash flow analysis, and financial reporting.
If you disconnect your bank account or revoke Plaid access, we will stop collecting new financial data from that account. Previously collected data will be retained only as described in our Data Retention section, and you may request its deletion at any time.
If you provide your phone number you may receive text messages from Studio Sapling LLC sent via automated technology. These messages may include account updates, bookkeeping notifications, tax reminders, compliance alerts, scheduling reminders, customer management updates, employee notifications, product announcements, and service alerts. Message frequency varies based on your account activity. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help or contact us at hello@studiosapling.com. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
Studio Sapling may also send text messages to your customers on your behalf, such as appointment reminders, invoice payment links, and follow-up messages. You are responsible for ensuring your customers have consented to receive these messages where required by law.
We retain your personal and financial data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide you services. When you delete your account or revoke your bank connection, we delete your financial data from our active systems within 30 days. Data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days after deletion, after which it is permanently removed. We may retain anonymized, aggregated data that cannot be used to identify you. AI-generated outputs are informational and do not constitute professional financial, legal, tax, or HR advice. You should review automated outputs and consult qualified professionals for decisions with material consequences.
